Reasons for being a member of Rock Creek PTO:
Community has always played an important role in my life whether it be where I grew up, went to college, or in my various workplaces. Community only happens when people participate, and after having a daughter at Rock Creek for four years and a son entering Kindergarten, I knew it was time for me to play a more active role in the Rock Creek Community. I started serving on the board during the 2023-2024 school year and look forward to continuing this work again in 2025-2025.
Enhancing the environment and experience of Rock Creek students is central to the PTO’s mission and it was amazing to see families get involved last year, whether it was through participating in family events, volunteering, or donating. I hope to continue creating an environment where Rock Creek families find joy and fulfillment in offering their time and talent to support the various activities and initiatives we plan throughout the year.

Jenna Britt

Family:

Children: Aidrik (K), Adalynn (Pre-K)
Reasons for being a member of Rock Creek PTO:
Community connection has always had a special place in my heart. Seeing a group of like-minded individuals coming together to help support our community, youth, teachers and beyond is one of the best experiences to be apart of. I knew as I had a child entering Kindergarten that I wanted to be involved with serving our this amazing elementary school and to extend the work I do for our Jaguar community further. I am excited for all the fun we have planned for this 24-25 school year!

Jocelyn Brincks
Co-Vice President
Positions Held:
Vice President 2023-current
Family:
Husband: Alan
Children: Carrick (5th grade) and Ellie (1st grade)
Reasons for being a member of Rock Creek PTO:
I want to be a more involved and informed parent, and to do more to show my appreciation for Rock Creek staff. Our son is neurodivergent, which (for us) means a lot of meetings/communication with Rock Creek teachers and staff. Their guidance, time, and support have been invaluable to our family.
Serving on the PTO Board allows me the opportunity to reciprocate that support; advocating for the teachers and students, and doing what I can in this role to help ensure they have the resources they need for a positive (and maybe even fun!) educational experience at Rock Creek.

Reasons for being a member of Rock Creek PTO:
Rock Creek is more than just an elementary school to my family; it’s our community. I wanted to be a part of what makes this school so amazing by supporting the faculty, staff and students. Rock Creek has meant a lot to my family and I am excited to be an active part of the PTO.

Jozi Andersen

Yearbook Committee 2023-current
Co-treasurer 2024-current
Family:
Husband: Phil
Children: Brynn (7th grade), Connor (2nd grade)
Reasons for being a member of Rock Creek PTO:
I have volunteered with various organizations in the past, including Christmas in April/Rebuilding Together and Torch Classic (Amoco and BP).
As a concerned parent in the community, I started attending the PTO meetings. I was able to share my concerns, and the following year, I volunteered for the yearbook committee. When a spot opened on the board, I jumped at the chance
I look forward to the new and exciting things the board will do this year, and I am excited to have an active role in supporting our Rock Creek community.

Reasons for being a member of Rock Creek PTO:
As a parent of an incoming kindergartner, it is important to me to become involved and take an active role in school decisions. I am excited to work alongside both parents and teachers to ensure that everyone feels supported. This partnership will ensure that the needs and perspectives of both parties are considered. By addressing issues and sharing ideas collaboratively, we can find solutions more effectively. I believe that providing support and resources to teachers and students will enhance the overall experience for everyone involved.
